Western vector of the Roman offensive to Dacia

Doinea Benea

- abstract -

The study of epigraphical evidence known from Pannonia Inferior and Superior provinces suggests one of the routes followed by Roman army towards Dacia, through the plain between Tisza and Danube, or, better, by river navigation. In the later case, the route has been driven along Mures River towards the very hard of the Dacian kingdom.

The epigraphic evidence brings thus new clues in a better understanding of Dacian-Roman wars.
