Once more about the Bridge from Drobeta

The ruins of Appolodor's bridge, situated between today Kostol (Serbia) and Turnu Severin (Romania), reference monument for the history of the Daco-Roman wars, has been archaeologically investigated ever since the end of the XIXth century.

The present study, based on the unpublished information from Grigore Tocilescu's manuscript, the results of the archaeological researches from Pontes and Drobeta, compared architecture sketches (plans) of the piers' ruins on the Serbian and Romanian shore, aims to highlight the planimetry and altimetry relations of the constructive elements, together with the analyze of the construction system.
